I am a mother of three, 42 years old, I felt slightly overweight and unfit, I had no time for myself and I was in great need of motivation!! A friend of mine recommended Clare. I was a little worried at first as I had never had a personal trainer and I had visions of her cracking her whip and shouting a lot, making me do things, I didn't want to do!!.....It was certainly not like that. Clare is very friendly, caring and understanding. Clare asked me lots of questions about myself, my needs and my life style. Once she had established what I needed, she wrote me a programme to fit in with my every day life. She also told me to keep a diary of my eating habits. Once a week Clare would come to my house to go through the programme, the first few times we did it, I wanted to cry!! ( I felt so unfit) but Clare was very supportive and kept my going. After a few weeks I couldn't believe the difference in me. My weight dropped, I had lots of energy and I looked forward to exercising on my own as well as with Clare. I'm still exercising and I'm still enjoying it. The best thing of all, is when your friends start noticing the difference and your face lights up when you start to talk about exercising!!!!!

My wife and I have just turned the wrong side of 50! and felt it was time to get toning. We thought it might be a nice idea to do something together as my wife had been moaning about being a golf widow! A friend of ours from London is always talking about the benefits of pilates with your posture and muscle strength and she suggested we find a local instructor emphasising on the importance of correct technique. We contacted Clare after seeing her advert in the local village news and it flowed from there. Clare comes to our house once a week to teach us pilates. She is quite happy for our children to join the lesson when they are home from university and sometimes the dog joins in! When we can, we also try to attend Clare's public classes but with work commitments this is not always possible. As Clare instructs us to, we think of her each day while we are going about our business, shoulders back, neutral spine, core muscles activated!!! it really does help.
